TEACHING PHILOSOPHY

Perfect Execution

My teaching approach to any modules is for me to do the research first about the module. i like to provide students with facts and related examples. i like my students to understand and not to memorize for the purpose of passing. I even like to see students working in teams to get the different view of what they are working on. results matters but i think understanding is more important.

My believe is that lecture must always be ready when coming to a lesson. lecture must know the whole curriculum of the module before i go and teach. have practical example which students can relate and apply in their day to da life.

I should be able to provide detailed feedback to students on their assessment. I should know the subject matter and make research in industry on how the module can assist students in their workplace

ICE Tasks.

The module I'm teaching now allow students to think out of the box, meaning its not copy and paste or just reading from the book. my ICE allow students to think about something that is practical and be be implemented in real life situations. the good example is when in one of the ICE I ask them about how UBUTU and entrepreneurship can enhance or promote customer satisfaction.

it was a good exercise where i see all students participating and enjoying the topic. My ICE task allow students to collaborate and come with the best answer.

Development Goals

I want to teach project management module. I love projects and have passion to become a project management consultant. i have already practiced in this area and have more than 10years industry experience.

I see myself contributing in this area by writing journals and papers about the advancement of project management and how it can affect company growth.

I believe IIEMSA will provide me with this opportunity soon where i can write project management curriculum and be able to teach the module soon.
